Our Purpose: To follow Jesus and to serve our community and world.
We are not perfect people at Peace, but we are on a constant discovery, learning and experiencing life with one another. With an exploding church community and a rapidly growing neighborhood, Peace continues to meet the needs of the community and beyond. Peace has always been a congregation that is not afraid to adapt to reach an ever changing culture.
In 2003 Peace began plans to build the ConneXion Center and Soul Café which includes a coffee shop atmosphere as well as a full sized basketball court. In September of 2004 the space was dedicated and has provided a wonderful space for all types of ministry including a diverse worship space.
Buildings only tell part of the story. The future of Peace's ministry will be designed so that the building becomes not a destination but a launching point for ministry. Our heart of service will continue to drive us deeper into the community of Gahanna, Columbus, Southeast Ohio and places around the United States and even the world.
We will learn again what Martin Luther taught the church, that we are a priesthood of believers. On the most basic level that means that wherever we are, we represent Christ. The ministry of Peace will most faithfully be lived out in homes, in our neighborhoods, on the sidelines of sporting events, and in coffee shops.
